Food, drinks and the fun last longer, when you roll in with the Coleman 50-Quart Xtreme 5-Day Heavy-Duty Cooler with Wheels. To be exact, this cooler keeps ice up to 5 days at temps as high as 90°F thanks to an insulated lid and extra insulation in the walls. Large enough to hold 84 cans, this spacious cooler transports and chills enough food and drinks to keep the entire party fueled and refreshed for the duration of your adventures. Wherever you’re headed campgrounds, tailgate parking lot, or across a ball field the heavy-duty wheels and locking telescoping handle let you roll over almost any terrain with hardly any effort. The molded side handles make it easier to lift your cooler in and out of the car or onto a picnic bench. Once you arrive, the Have-A-Seat lid ensures you have an extra place to sit and relax, and the cup holders molded into the lid keep your drink close and prevent spills. This is the perfect size cooler for so many things, whether it’s for tailgating, hosting outdoor gatherings, picnics etc.. I have never had a cooler keep things this cold for so many days. I’ve owned my share of coolers and the Coleman 50qt Xtreme Heavy Duty cooler w/wheels is by far the best on the market for so many reasons. It can hold up to 84 cans, has heavy duty wheels that roll over just about anything with little effort, your ice keeps for up to 5 days, there’s a locking telescoping handle, easy to clean & empty. My favorite feature is the lid is also a seat that can hold up to 250lbs. This is super great to have in the event your are somewhere with no chairs. There’s also built-in cup holders on top of the lid. Insulation, the wheels, the quality is definitely Xtreme. I would absolutely recommend this cooler. Great cooler and great price, however, it was too large for where I wanted to keep it during my travels in my SUV so unfortunately, I had to return it and buy a smaller size from Coleman.

  3. Sean

This is great. It is a square inside with the wheels on the outside. Gives it much more room for keeping things cold. Liked it so much, bought a second one.

  4. Amber

Large inside area. And beautiful color.

  5. Jeffrey

Doesn’t necessarily hold ice for 5 days, but works well enough. Wheels and handle are a great feature and it’s a great size for a shorter camping trip.

I love this Coleman 50 -Quart Xtreme 5-Day Heavy- Duty Cooler with Wheels. I keep it in my car when I go to the grocery store I put my cold items in it. It gets hot and very humidity in Florida.

  7. Carl

Well constructed, handle could be a bit stronger, but am happy!

  8. Larry

I wanted a cooler with wheels, but previously I had only seen VERY large ones with this option.
This Coleman 50 qt. fit my needs well. I was dubious about its XTREME ability to have ice last for 5 days and I was right; 10 lbs of ice lasted only about 1-1/2 days during my tent camping trip.LikesDrainFor campingDurabilityAppearanceAs a gift

This is great. Fits better in my car with the tall size. It rolls great and the handle is very handy getting camp all set up. It’s purple! I love purple!

  10. Hannah

keeps the drinks cold and the ice stays and it for a few days

  11. Virginia

This cooler is great for on the go. The telescoping handle is a great feature to be able to pull it along.
Saves the back ! Fits in the back of a hatchback or would even fit on a back seat.
Has kept all my food nice and cold. Perfect for concerts, picnics, taking meals to friends and family and camping.
If you need a mobile decent sized cooler this is a great pick.

BTW: It really is strong enough to use as an extra seat or as a table — it has cup holders on top.

They call it a five day ice chest, the ice stayed kinda frozen for 2 days. It did the job we needed it for and it rolls nice. I chose the black one because the ones with a white lid show dirt so easy. Because of the textured top it is harder to clean.LikesDrainTelescoping handleValue for moneyShapeAppearance

Exactly what I was looking for.

Its a solid cooler as advertised, and at a great price. The telescopic handle is great and you can use the cooler to haul other items like your foldable chair or table for the beach.LikesColorDrainWheelsDurabilityQuality

We are inexperienced campers, and I bought this cooler for a camping weekend. I needed food and drinks to stay cold for only 2 days, so I figured a 5-day cooler would work. At the recommendation of camping friends, I froze two 3-gallon bottles of water and 1 flat plastic container 4 days before leaving for the weekend. I also froze the lunch meat we brought, yogurt tubes, and apple juice boxes. I primed the cooler by letting ice sit in it for a couple of hours, and then I packed the cooler right before leaving on a Friday afternoon with the frozen bottles of water, the frozen container, the frozen food, and other perishables like butter, milk, cream cheese, cheese slices, etc. While camping, the temperatures were in the mid to upper 80s. The cooler spent time in the shade, in the back of the car one afternoon when it reached 87 degrees outside (so hotter in the car), and in the car at night with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Upon opening the cooler that first meal in the evening, I found that food I had refrigerated (fruit, butter) had frozen in the 4 hours it had been in the cooler. Better frozen than spoiled, though! Throughout the weekend, all of the food and drinks stayed cold, and the meat thermometer I placed in the cooler read 34-38 degrees all weekend. We came home on a Sunday evening, but I was too tired to unpack the cooler. The following day, about 72 hours after packing the cooler, I unpacked it. The thermometer was reading 38 degrees. The two 3-gallon bottles of water were still about 2/3 frozen. The flat container was about 1/2 frozen. My other freezer packs I threw in were either thawed and cold or still partially frozen. I was very impressed at how little the ice in the containers had melted over 3 days and how my meat thermometer showed the inside of the cooler was still at a safe temperature for food. The only issue I had with the cooler, and it’s minor, is that there is not much clearance between the bottom of the cooler and the ground when you are wheeling it. It got stuck on tree roots a few times, but otherwise, the cooler certainly met my expectations. I was skeptical because of the price , but given how infrequently we go camping and how few days we camp, I could not justify spending a couple hundred dollars on a cooler. This cooler was perfect for our needs!

I am very pleased with this purchase. I don’t think you can find a better price for a cooler that holds ice for 5 days with a handle and wheels. I trust the brand and look forward to using it camping!

This will do the trick to pack up enough food for a cross-country road trip. My only complaint is the hand-holds on the side are quite shallow, so those are not very functional.

  18. Megan

I recently got this cooler and it is the perfect size. It holds 84 cans of soda, or 4 gallons of sweet tea and 48 cans! It is the perfect size to hold all of your camping, tailgating, or picnic needs. I love the square design, it takes up so much less room than the traditional rectangle ones. Since it is a Coleman I know it will last and do a great job. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We have had a cooler for over 10 years and it’s really worn down. We recently got this Coleman 50 quart cooler and we love it. There are 4 cup holders in the top, a smooth lift handle, and plenty of storage inside. It glides nice and smooth and I really like the slate grey color. This fit between our two chairs perfectly under a 10×10 canopy at the beach. I wish the tires were a little bit bigger, because we ended up dragging the cooler through the sand for a bit. We ended up emptying the cooler the next day and The ice was still all through the cooler.LikesDrainFitQualityConstruction

Your standard Coleman cooler. Worked great, we were trying to find a cooler that does not look the same as the white and blue that everyone has. Significantly cheaper than on Amazon as well!

  22. Maria

This is a great 50 quart cooler. I could ice in it with my food items on Friday afternoon and it kept food cold until I got home Monday afternoon. We camped out at the lake where the temperatures were around mid-90s during the day. When I dumped my cooler Monday afternoon there was still ice in the chest.LikesSturdinessAppearanceValue for moneyTelescoping handleWheels

I haven’t use it yet but it’s a nice size for the money. Only thing is that the handle doesn’t extend too far so if you are tall that could be a problem.

I got this cooler as an all-purpose cooler for my family to use. This is a really nice size cooler- perfect to fit in the trunk of the car with a picnic lunch or party drinks, or in the back of my pickup to hold groceries for the trip home. I love the wheels and the telescoping handle for ease of transport, and the cupholders on top hold cans securely. This cooler, however, does not have the greatest seal. I did the “dollar bill test”- if the lid is closed with a dollar bill between the cooler body and the lid, the dollar bill should not be able to be removed easily. Since there is no rubber gasket around the lid (just plastic on plastic), the dollar bill can be removed fairly easily. The lid also doesn’t seal shut when dropped closed- it doesn’t seat properly to do that. It needs to be slightly readjusted and pressed closed to function properly. Even without a complete seal, it kept ice mostly solid overnight.I found this cooler difficult to open when close to or completely empty, as there is no place to hold the body of the cooler while attempting to pull up the lid. While full, the weight of the contents balance that out but I will not always be using the cooler at capacity. All in all, a nice, economic cooler for my needs. This is a great size for road trip food. The drain is a plus and the wheels make it easy to move around, especially when it is full of ice and good – not to mention adult beverages.

  26. Kevin

Deep storage – held all our groceries on a recent trip from Florida to NY (Corona days!) and kept items cold – or frozen! – for the two day trip in mostly warm weather.

  27. Christopher

I loved everything about this cooler , it’s great for when your going to a BBQ, keeps the drinks cold for 24 hours or more . After that long walk to the barbecue you got to have a seat right on top of your cooler that’s another thing that’s great about this item.LikesEase of useFor campingAppearanceDrainDesignColorValue for moneyFitConstructionWheelsQualityTelescoping handleDurabilityAs a giftSize

love this cooler, it does keep the cans and waters cold, not as long as they say in the ad, but it does for the whole day and overnight if in the shade
